Want what you want ~ Desire part 2

As a Taurus north node, I desire simplicity, beauty, nature, pleasure and peace. I love the feel of a book in my hands, that first sip of afternoon tea and gorgeous linen on my body. I adore watching the evening light on the mesas outside my windows and how it trickles in the onto my bookshelves.

When I’m on an empty beach my soul wants to dance and sink my feet deep into the sand. To drum and sing a song for the otters.

I desire slow mornings with the horses watching the sun come up while drinking chai in my favorite ceramic mug.

These are the little things but really they are the biggies that make a joyful life for me.

I’m learning to slow down and see the beauty and magic around me all the time. It’s there if I look.

I desire to love and be loved. I want to create art and eat delicious food and have adventures with the ones I love.

I want to adorn my body with beautiful poked prayers and meaningful markings. Connections to my ancestors, guides and loved ones on the other side.

As for my painting expedition last week- I had fun. I made some art and I actually like it.

I want what I want and that’s ok. It’s more than ok actually. It’s my right as a human to want what I want. To fully allow the desires of my heart to be seen, heard, expressed, felt and experienced.

I hope you do one thing today that you truly desire. Or two or three or twenty. Really. Truly. Desire is our soul speaking to us. It’s our heart whispering yes, this.
